What’s ClearScan?

Having visible veins all across your body is something that may make you feel self conscious, but having broken capillaries across your face and body can make you want to permanently hide under a rock. Although you may be able to conceal your broken capillaries with some concealer and a little bit of powder, we can actually help get rid of them with a treatment called ClearScan.

What’s ClearScan?

This laser treatment is used to treat a variety of things including broken capillaries, rosacea, spider veins, and telangiectasia. By heating up the skin, the laser pulses work to absorb the unwanted blood vessels.

How Long Does It Take?

Depending on the size of the area that we are treating, your treatment session may last anywhere from a few minutes all the way up to a half an hour. During your initial consultation, we will be able to give you a better idea of just how long you can expect your specific treatment to take.

Does It Hurt?

One of the best things about this treatment is that there is no need for any anesthesia. On average, patients experience little to no discomfort during the entire procedure. If, however you are worried about the pain, contact our office beforehand and we will discuss all options with you.

What Are Results Like?

Most capillaries will diminish almost immediately since they no longer contain any blood. On average, however, patients will experience some redness and swelling but this should subside in just a few days.

What Is Recovery Like?

Right after this procedure, our skin will be ultrasensitive to ultraviolet light which is why we encourage everyone to avoid any direct sun exposure— no matter how tempting the sunshine may be. When you do go outside, make sure that you completely cover your skin and wear a good broad spectrum sunscreen.
