What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian Butt Lift is a procedure that is done by using liposuction to harvest fat from certain areas of your body and then reinject that fat into your buttocks. For instance, if you have extra fat around your upper thighs or midsection, Dr. Gregory Wiener will use liposuction to remove fat from those areas and will then inject that fat into your buttocks in order to help improve volume and shape.
What is recovery like?
As a fairly invasive surgical procedure, recovery from a Brazilian Butt Lift is approximately one week. During recovery, you will experience some soreness around both the areas where you received liposuction and around your buttocks as well. While recovering, you will be advised to refrain from sitting flat on your buttocks and instead will be encouraged to use a specialized butt pillow that will take the pressure off of the surgical site. Although you may experience some mild bruising and swelling after your surgery, it should subside within a few days. During recovery you should refrain from any sort of strenuous activities for at least six weeks or until Dr. Gregory Wiener gives you the go-ahead.
