Caring for Your Skin at Every Age

beautiful young girl with a clean fresh skinWhether you’re in your late teens or your early 80’s it’s always important to take good care of your skin. Prevent dry itchy skin, and help to keep your skin looking young and rejuvenated longer by following these three skincare routines.

Wash Your Face

Whether you’re just too tired before bed or you constantly forget, washing your face before bed is a habit that if you haven’t gotten into yet, you should get into it now. By washing your face before bed, you are ridding your skin of bacteria, germs, and oil that have built up throughout the day. Plus, if you wear makeup, taking your makeup off before bed will help to eliminate things such as acne breakouts. Make sure that when you wash your face before bed that you are using a gentle facial cleanser in combination with something to help take off makeup like a makeup remover toner.

Wear Sunscreen

It doesnt’ matter if it’s in the dark of winter and you only spend 5 minutes outside every day— wearing sunscreen will not only help your skin stay younger looking longer but it will also protect you from skin cancer. When purchasing sunscreen for your face, try to buy a sunscreen that has at least an SPF 50 in it, that way you can get a large amount of coverage that isn’t too thick and noticeable. When applying your sunscreen, make sure you apply it in a thick layer. Sunscreen should go on a thick white and then you can slowly blend it in.

Moisturize

Another crucial part of any skincare routine is to moisturize your skin. Even if you’re trying to dry out a zit or two, moisturizing your skin will help to stabilize your skins production of oil to combat both oily and dry skin. Plus, moisturizing will also help to prevent your skin from drying and causing excess wrinkles.

No matter what age you are, following these three easy skincare steps will help your skin feel more comfortable and look better.
