How Forever Bare® BBL Differs from Other Systems
Laser hair removal works on the basis of thermal energy absorption into hairs that are present in hair follicles at the time of treatment. Most systems penetrate a large number of follicles with a consistent wave of laser light. While effective and generally safe for most skin types, traditional treatment has been improved upon with high powered light – and an innovative delivery technique.
Unique Aspects of This System Include:
- Expedient treatment. The repetitive bursts of high powered light can treat areas as large as 1/2 inch to just over 1 1/2 inches very quickly.
- Tissue protection. The pulsed light method of hair removal, rather than continuous light, increases the temperature within hair follicles gradually, minimizing disruption to surrounding tissue. Laser hair removal is safe and effective, and the use of pulsed light makes it even more so.
- Variability. Our Forever Bare® BBL system features varying adapters which enable us to treat large and small areas with ease.
- Comfort. In addition to raising follicle temperature more slowly, this laser device also has a sapphire plate that continually cools epidermal tissue to create a more comfortable experience. This feature makes Forever Bare® BBL treatment well-suited for a wide variety of skin types, including skin type V.

What to Expect
Forever Bare® BBL laser hair removal can be performed just about anywhere on the body. Common treatment areas include the lip, face, underarms, toes, bikini line, arms, and legs. The system’s larger applicator also enables us to treat larger areas such as the chest and the back quickly and comfortably.
How Long Do Laser Hair Removal Treatments Take?
Laser hair removal treatments may last just a few minutes, depending on the area we are treating. Most sessions last no longer than twenty minutes. To begin the process, we apply a gel solution to the skin. The applicator tip may be moved across the skin in smooth motions, or in a “stamping” motion. Due to the method of energy delivery, most patients feel only a mild stinging or warming sensation.
Laser Hair Removal Aftercare
One of the appealing aspects of laser hair removal is that no downtime is necessary after each session. The primary recommendations for after-care include moisturizing the skin and protecting it from UV exposure. This may be done with SPF 30 or above sunscreen or with protective clothing such as pants or long-sleeved shirts. Also, patients are advised not to wax or pluck hair. Shaving is acceptable.
How Many Laser Hair Removal Treatments Do You Need?
The number of treatments that are necessary to achieve hair-free skin may vary from one person to another. Most people can obtain their desired result with 5 to 10 treatments.
